Social Results – Sacramento Works
Like many non-profit organizations, Sacramento Works wanted to connect with local clients through social media but had neither the experience nor the time to really cultivate a strong following. GannettLocal wanted to work with the client to not only deliver their desired results, but also allow them to keep track of their campaign’s performance through the transparent reporting dashboard.
G/O Digital developed a comprehensive social media program and built a real-time measurement platform.Sacramento Works operates 11 job career centers in the Sacramento area, but had a difficult time building consistent social media communications, said Public Information Officer, Terri Carpenter.
In May of 2012, Sacramento Works began working with a G/O Digital specialist to discuss social media management. “G/O Digital does a schedule of what’s being posted every day, and I can gauge the results to see what works best; questions like, ‘Should you wear open toed shoes to an interview?’ or ‘What’s the best job hunting tip you’ve received while looking for a job?’ With the kind of business we’re in, we can’t offer coupons or anything like that, so we are trying to reach people through social media,” she said. “(We) started with 200 fans, and now have 1184.”
With G/O Digital social strategy and by developing landing pages and sign-up forms within Facebook, Sacramento Works has received a higher volume of sign-ups through the online engagement efforts. Within 90 days, Sacramento Works received over 85 qualified leads and produced more than 750,000 Facebook ad impressions each month.
